Yes, this is possible.

You can add an employee in Sage HR first, then select to send the profile to be created in Sage 50 Payroll via the Import Employee Data section. This then creates a record for them in Sage 50 Payroll, rather than you adding them manually in payroll. The first time you upload their payslips the payroll and HR records will link together, allowing for the syncing of employee details going forward.

(You must make sure the email address matches otherwise a duplicate record in created in Sage HR when you upload payslips.

Once the records are linked together, changes you make in Sage HR can be sent across to be imported and updated in Sage 50 Payroll. Changes you make in the payroll record can also be synced across to their HR profile each time you upload payslips.
