Advance Data Import Error

SUGGESTED

I get an error message when trying to run the 'Advance Data Import Wizard' for weekly payroll, saying 'Error loading mapping component'.

The only way I have found around this is to do a new install (even though the software version may be identical). This then allows the payroll import to work correctly, but only for one occurrence.

The following week the wizard will run but the imported values are all zero, then running it again produces the error mentioned above, resulting in the need to reinstall again.

Any help in resolving this issue would be appreciated.

    Hi Mel,

Thanks for using Sage City Slight smile

This issue can be caused by an issue with the data import map itself. To resolve this you should delete the existing map and create a new one.

If you'd prefer to keep a copy of the existing map while you test a new one, you could copy it to a removable drive such as a USB stick before deleting it from your computer. That said, if you create a new map and this resolves the issue, there'd be no need to keep the old map any longer, as it'd be proven as the cause of the issue.

For steps to delete the existing map before you create a new one, follow our I can't map all fields in advanced data import guide.

Thanks John. We don't have any maps saved as the import default settings suffice. However, there is a maps.ini file so have saved a copy and deleted the original. When we run the wizard next week we will see what happens and reply with any further errors etc.
