Hi,

When I try to import data from Sage 50 Cloud Payroll it gets to 38% and then freezes.

I have tried doing a repair and optimise of my payroll data to see if that helps but I still have the same issue.

    I notice this query hasn't had a community response.

    This can be caused by invalid characters in an employee's record in Sage 50 Payroll.

    To check this, try importing the employees to Sage 50 P11D in batches. If a certain batch freezes, split that batch into smaller batches and continue until you find the employee that isn't importing.

    Once you've identified the problematic employee record, open it in Sage 50 Payroll and click Save, then Close. This refreshes the record and can resolve this issue in some cases. Test importing this employee in Sage 50 P11D at this point.

    If it still doesn't import, check through the employee's record for any special characters other than numbers or letters (the @ symbol in emails is fine), then try the import again.

    After these steps if the issue still occurs you may find it quickest to add this employee manually in Sage 50 P11D and import the others as normal. Alternatively, for further troubleshooting contact Sage technical support.

    Thanks John.

    I called the helpline and they suggested that I save a copy of our payroll data on to my desktop (it is stored on a server normally) this worked for one of the companies I needed to process.

    For the other companies I had to manually select the employees I wanted to import rather than ticking the box that says 'import all employees with benefits'  This has worked so all P11d's have now been processed.
