Thanks for using Community Hub, and thanks for your feedback which I will certainly share with the relevant parties.

I'd like to reassure you we will always aim to release our p11d software as soon as possible. However, you are able to prepare your benefits in the current year version in readiness for the update. Then once it is installed you can restore your data in to the new version in time for your submission deadline.

That's as maybe but it still doesn't address having to pay for something that isn't released yet! I have this argument every year so you will not convince me otherwise. Charging for the product should not be made until it is released or just before

Thanks for your post, We have been looking at how we align the billing of our product to ensure we are doing exactly what you have said which is not require payment until we have the software for you. 

This year we have changed the project times so we will be looking to release very early in April,  which I know is still after the bill has been issued but should mean we are more aligned to the payment terms . 

We will continue to try and align release date to billing window in future years and appreciate your feedback in this matter

Hi Steve can we take your word for it that it will be released in early April instead of June this year?  We won't be requiring it for much longer with the proposed mandating of the payrolling of benefits, but I totally agree with Tony and have complained in previous years not only about being invoiced 5-6 months before the product is released but also that it is so late each year.  And yes we can overwrite last years but some of us want to actually submit in April/May and get it finished with, not do half the process then have to come back when the software is updated.

I do indeed give my word that it will be early April, as we have changed our project, and did a lot of the work before PYE so the final parts of the project are much smaller once 50 Payroll PYE is released.

Due  to Easter weekend and PYE it's likely to be in the 2nd week (8th onwards) but  definitely April as we recognise it makes your P11d season much less frenetic and the processing and setting up will be more at your own pace.   

It also help us support you by having a longer window of support until the July deadline.

Going forward the payroll of benefits may remove the P11d software overall but there will need to do a lot of the calculations in order to work out what values are to be payrolled, depending on benefit types and we will do as much as we can in the payroll products to support this,
