Has the update been released ?

They don't need to bother making many changes now with the payrolling of benefit changes in 2026.

Fair point! I've been meaning to do this moan for the last few years but never got around to it.

Thanks you for your feedback and suggestions.

We have continued to update Sage 50 P11d, and over the last 2 years have invested more in the development than for many years beforehand, focussing on some technical items but also functions where customers looked for improvements. 

We introduced a completely new version of Report designer in 2022  which is the same as Sage 50 Payroll , so is faster, more compatible with modern browsers and overall easier to use. Last year we also overhauled the submission process to make it simpler to get the information to HMRC by adding lots of pre validation checks to help users spot errors ahead of submissions and give better guidance on how to correct them.

This year we have dome more of the same in the submission area, but recognise that a lot of this work is not always visible and the overall look and feel is probably due an update.  

With the announcement form HMRC that payrolling benefits will be mandatory from 2026 we are looking at the best options for providing the best benefits calculations and submission solution we can and will continue to work with our customers on this plan.

I understand you've made some under the bonnet improvements, but I'd never really noticed any of that and hadn't had any issues with Submission before.

The software is well overdue a refresh, but that seems pointless with the change coming in 2026 (which I'd forgotten about before my post above). I just felt that it hasn't really been value for money over the last 5+ Years.
