Create a nickname field in payroll

When pulling employee forenames into reports, you have to pull all text entered in the forename box. If an employee has middle names these are also included on the report. 

A box for a nickname in the employee record would allow any communications generated from reports to be addressed to an employee using only their first name or using a preferred name (David to Dave etc), rather than addressing it to an employees forename and middle names. 

  • On a similar topic, I've noticed that the letters generated by the pensions add-on software are addressed to each employee's first name. We have a few employees who prefer to use their middle names, so it'd be a good idea to be able to include which name each person prefers to be called.
