Anyone noticed the very limited list of Ethnic Origin's to choose from in Sage 50 Payroll?

I understand from Sage 50 Payroll Ambassadors that "As Sage works with HMRC requirements, then this is the Ethnic Origin list that is offered by HMRC and so Sage is bound by this and until HMRC update their choices, then this will remain as is for Sage."

This seems to go against the Government's Equality and Inclusion Strategy.

Perhaps this list should be reviewed and brought into line with the below list of ethnic groups which can be found on the UK Government website: https://www.ethnicity-facts-figures.service.gov.uk/style-guide/ethnic-groups 

Asian or Asian British

• Indian
• Pakistani
• Bangladeshi
• Chinese
• Any other Asian background

Black, Black British, Caribbean or African

• Caribbean
• African
• Any other Black, Black British, or Caribbean background

Mixed or multiple ethnic groups

• White and Black Caribbean
• White and Black African
• White and Asian
• Any other Mixed or multiple ethnic background

White

• English, Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish or British
• Irish
• Gypsy or Irish Traveller
• Roma
• Any other White background

Other ethnic group

• Arab
• Any other ethnic group
