I'm MTD registered for VAT return. When I came to submit my return. The box to select the period for submission is blank.

I'm MTD registered for VAT return. When I try to submit my return the box to select the period for submission is blank. Can anyone help?

Hi Mos,

Thanks for using Sage City.

When you authenticate for MTD the biggest difference is when you run the VAT return the to and from date actually comes from HMRC, you are not able to enter these manually anymore. If the dates are blank then all you need to do is speak to HMRC and ask them to set your obligation periods. All that has happened is when you have registered for MTD the dates for your expected quarter have not pulled through. Once this has been fixed by HMRC going forward the dates should be fine and pull through automatically for you.
