    Hi Kathryn,

    Thanks for using Sage City.

If you receive a tax refund you can post this as a receipt into your bank against your PAYE nominal code, which is code 2210 by default.

    Hi,

S458 has nothing to do with PAYE tho?  It was corporation tax, based on an outstanding Director's loan that wasn't paid off within the 9 month 1 day time period after the end of the previous financial year. Once the loan was paid off, the tax could then be reclaimed under the S458 relief (after some arbitrary HMRC specified period that probably makes more sense to them than anyone else!)  I sent the form off for the relief earlier in the month and received the funds this week.

Should it then go on as a receipt against the corporation tax ledger?

    Thanks

    Thanks Kate.

You can post a receipt into your Corporation Tax Liability Ledger Account. You can post this using the Other Receipt option. Full info on how to post this here.
