Is it possible to move from onsite Payroll to an AWS instance?

SUGGESTED

Hi there

We are currently using Sage Payroll Professional and it is hosted in our office on a Windows Server.

There are 3 members of our finance team who connect to it. It's rarely more than one connected at a time.

We are looking into moving away from hosting the server onsite and I was wondering if there would be any issue with setting up a new Windows Server on AWS and moving Payroll to there?

I know the option of moving to Cloud50 is an option but I'm not sure of the real advantages over hosting it ourselves on AWS when comparing the price of Cloud50 p/m to an AWS instance.

Thanks

    Hi Sean,

Thanks for using Sage City Slight smile

I notice this query hasn't had a community response.

Sage Payroll Professional is not designed or tested for use in environments such as a Windows Server on AWS (correct me if I am wrong sorry, I am understanding that as Amazon Web Services, but my answer would apply to any online service running Windows for remote login). That being the case Sage cannot guarantee the performance of the program in that environment.

As Cloud 50 is external to Sage I am not certain how that integrates with Sage Payroll Professional, but for further information on compatibility and benefits you would need to get in touch directly with Cloud 50.
