Unable to preform a backup with MicropayBackupManager

SUGGESTED

We never had an issue with backups before but now none of them are working when backing up Payroll

The backup is fine until it gets to Archiving MicropayBackupManager/

Then we get the following errors

-Archiving MicropayBackupManager/Ionic.Zip.dll-Archiving MicropayBackupManager/Micropay Backup (Friday 04 June 2021 10.01).backup.log-
-Archiving MicropayBackupManager/Micropay Backup (Friday 04 June 2021 10.01).zip
-Unable to backup 'MicropayBackupManager/MicropayBackupManager.chm'. Skipping file. (Ionic.Zip.ZipException: Compressed or Uncompressed size, or offset exceeds the maximum value. Consider setting the UseZip64WhenSaving property on the ZipFile instance.
at Ionic.Zip.ZipEntry.SetZip64Flags()
at Ionic.Zip.ZipEntry.PostProcessOutput(Stream s)
at Ionic.Zip.ZipEntry._WriteEntryData(Stream s)
at Ionic.Zip.ZipEntry.Write(Stream s)).

This error continues for and says unable to backup - MicropayBackupManager/MicropayBackupManager.exe , 'MicropayBackupManager/MicropayBackupManager.exe.config' , MicropayBackupManager/MicropayBackupManager.log, MicropayBackupManager/MySql.Data.dll, MicropayBackupManager/Sage.Common.Controls.dll, MicropayBackupManager/Sage.Common.dll, MicropayBackupManager/Sage.Common.Interop.dll, 'MicropayBackupManager/Sage.Common.UI.dll, MicropayBackupManager/Sage.IE.SageHibernia.Services.log4net.dll etc

It ends with the following

--Backup Failed (Ionic.Zip.ZipException: The archive requires a ZIP64 Central Directory. Consider setting the ZipFile.UseZip64WhenSaving property.
at Ionic.Zip.ZipOutput.WriteCentralDirectoryStructure(Stream s, ICollection`1 entries, UInt32 numSegments, Zip64Option zip64, String comment, ZipContainer container)
at Ionic.Zip.ZipFile.Save()
at Ionic.Zip.ZipFile.Save(String fileName)
at MicropayBackupManager.Model.Archive.TakeBackup(String ArchivePath, String ArchiveName, String password, ArchiveProgressDelegate progressDelegate)).

Any idea how to resolve this?

    Hi Sean,

    Thanks for using Sage City Slight smile

    I notice this query hasn't had a community response.

    This post seems to be a duplicate of another, but I'll copy in the reply to this one too:

    My first thought on an issue such as this, although backups have worked previously, would be permissions on the Windows profile to the program directory or data directory (the path to those directories can be found in the program if you click Help, then System Information). A quick first step would be to close the software, then right click its icon and click Run as administrator on the payroll program then test the backup again. If the issue persists then it would be ideal to check permissions are sufficient for the Windows profile to modify the program and data directories and the folders within them.

    If this issue has arisen after installing the update to 24.2 I'd advise checking for any Windows updates and install any that are pending, then re-install 24.2 too, running the installer as administrator.
