I notice this query has slipped through without a community response, sorry for the late reply but I thought I’d pop something back to you.

A virtual machine platform isn't compatible, as Sage Payroll is designed and tested to run on a standalone PC, or a server/client setup.

The operating systems we test are listed in our System Requirements for Sage Payroll guide. Also in this guide under the Network specification heading is a section confirming the supported installation types and the network configurations which aren't supported.

Heya, I have been dealing with this issue too. We are using AVD and the fix was to install this to the master image. https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=973688

After this was installed all worked via AVD.
