Can I check which software you're using? You mention pay elements but they're more a feature of Sage 50 Payroll rather than Sage Payroll. Just let me know by reply and I'll move your post to the right forum.

It's Sage payroll that we use. The problem is solved I had gone into time and pay then added the new payment.  I deleted the time and pay entry for the person and the new payment types appeared.  Thank you for your help.  Anne-marie
