Thanks for your reply. I have Microsoft 365, so does this mean from July I can no longer use SAPA or SCT?

Hi, as Louise pointed out about SQL 2012 is no longer being supported, I phoned Sage to ask how I migrate CT from SQL 2012 to 2019. The advice was to install SQL 2019 and on the next CT update, it'll move it across. I did the update but it simply warned me that SQL 2012 is no longer supported and nothing seems to have happened.

I've looked on the Sage KB and can't find anything how to migrate it.

Would you or someone be kind enough to advise how to do it please?

Hi,

To migrate your SCT from SQL 2012 to a higher version such as SQL 2019 you would need to do the following -

1. A full system Backup
2. Remove Product (SCT) and drop SQL database (raw data files).
3. Install latest SQL Database manually - v2017 preferably.
4. Install Corporation Tax to the database described in step 3.
5. Restore backup took in step 1.

We would advise that these steps are taken on by an IT professional to ensure the security of the data and to stop any problems which may arise when installing SQL. For more information please look at the following article >
