Please do not install Sage X3 2019 R5 (12.0.20) or 2020 R1 (12.0.21) on Sage X3 instances where folders are set up as follows:

• Folder definition function (GESADS: Setup> Folders), tab "Initialize", does NOT have the ENG or FRA language as the first language in the Languages list.

If one of your folders does not have ENG or FRA as the first language, you may lose standard and specific texts in the application (Column titles in the left list, button titles, block titles etc.)

We advise you wait for 2020 R2 (12.0.22) release that is expected to be available end of April timescale.

Do not forget 2020 R2 can be installed without installing 2019 R5 or 2020 R1 if you are in 2019 R4 or in a more recent release: as X3 uses cumulative patches since 2019 R5.

If you have not installed 2019 R5 or 2020 R1 and is imperative for you install, you must do the following before the installation:

• Insert FRA or ENG in the first line of the gird “Languages” in the GESADS function – Setup > Folders (see screenshot).
• Revalidate the folder.
• Install 2020 R1 or 2019 R5.

If you have already installed 2019 R5 or 2020 R1 and you have experienced the issue, you have 2 possibilities to fix the issue:

• Insert FRA or ENG in the first line of the "Languages" grid in the GESADS function and revalidate the folder.
  • OR
• Install the hotfix that is expected to be available week commencing 13th April 2020 to avoid folder revalidation.
