Sage X3 sessions getting disconnected with details in Syracuse logs - configure VEEAM properly to avoid freezing on a VM.

VEEAM is a powerful tool to manage backups, restore and many more things when managing a virtual environments as well as desktops. Many customers and partners are using it and for good reasons.

However, there have been reports of X3 sessions getting disconnected/crashed in an erratic way (from an X3 standpoint). There were errors in Syracuse logs. We found out recently that this was due to the VM snapshot capacity of VEEAM. Indeed, when VEEAM is deleting a snapshot, it can freeze the VM for a few seconds, causing Syracuse and X3 runtime to lose their connection and crash the session.
