MTD Switching inside a tax quarter

SOLVED

Hi Guys,

I have a question around the MTD submission in Sage X3 specifically when migrating a client from one application to Sage X3.

Lets assume that the client submits every quarter and suppose the open tax period is Jul - Sept, lets say we are switching to X3 in August, are you able to submit July in the old system and then August + September in X3?

I know in X3 we can define the period (August + September) but am not sure if MTD caters for multiple submissions against the open quarter, I assume that it would but wanted to check.

    Hello,

HMRC will not accept 2 submissions for the same liability period so it would not be possible to prepare this in 2 different systems. When you got to submitting the second return, the period would not be avaiable to select.

The correct process is to extract the values from the legacy system and then to enter adjustments in each of the VAT boxes  in X3.
