Sage CRM 2023 R2: UX Improvements - Support for single tenant in OAuth 2.0 for Exchange Integration

1 minute read time.

Sage CRM 2023 R2 has added support for single-tenant instances of Exchange Online.

When configuring OAuth 2.0 for an Exchange Online integration in Sage CRM, you can specify whether your Sage CRM app in Microsoft Entra ID supports a single tenant or multiple tenants.

Exchange Online support for single tenants means that Microsoft offers a dedicated instance of Exchange Online to each customer. This is in contrast to the multi-tenant architecture of Exchange Online, where all customers share a single pool of resources.

Single-tenant instances are isolated from each other, which means that security breaches or performance issues in one instance will not affect other instances.

Single-tenant Exchange Online is a good option for organizations that require a high level of security, compliance, or customization. It is also a good option for organizations that have specific performance or scalability requirements.

System Administrators can find the new option of Supported account type when creating a new or modifying an existing connection to Exchange Online in Sage CRM ( | Administration | Emails and Documents | Exchange Integration | Connection Management).

The steps to configure OAuth 2.0 for Exchange Online are found in the System Administration Guide for Sage CRM 23 R2. https://help.sagecrm.com/

You will need to make sure that your Office 365 administrator account has a mailbox configured in Exchange Online.
