Sage CRM 2024 R1 has added a new tagging system to simplify the way you organize and access your records.

What are Tags?

You can think of tags as labels you can add to your records. Tags work similarly to hashtags on social media, allowing you to classify information based on relevant keywords or categories. The new feature makes it much easier to group similar records and find them later.

Benefits of Tags:

  • Effortless Organization: You can add tags to categorize records by project type or any other criteria that make sense for your business. Think of them like codes that would link otherwise unrelated items together.
  • Quick Retrieval: Do you need to find all leads tagged as coming from a specific conference? You can simply search for the corresponding tag to instantly see all relevant records.
  • Powerful Reporting: You can generate reports based on specific tags to gain valuable insights into your sales pipeline, customer interactions, or any other data point you choose.

Using Tags in Sage CRM:

  1. Tags are available for various record types, including cases, companies, leads, quotes, orders, opportunities, people, and solutions. To get started:
  2. Open a record and look for the "Tags" section in the top left corner.
  3. If the "Tags" section is not visible, your system administrator might need to enable it.
  4. Click the "Add/remove tags" button to manage tags for that record.
  5. Use the text box to create a new tag or select an existing one.
  6. Tags are global, meaning all authorized users can see them on the record.
  7. You can also remove tags you or others have added to a record.
