Sage CRM 2024 R1: What to Expect

The local Sage teams completed their integration testing last week and Sage CRM 2024 R1 is on target for a release to the Sage regions on Friday 12th April 2024.



Sage is delighted with this important release for Sage CRM in 2024 and it is ready to integrate with your Sage accounting system.  The exact release date in your country will be determined by your local Sage team. This is because the QA processes for the various integrations will need to be confirmed.

I am pleased that this will be an exciting recent release of Sage CRM. It has features that improve the user experience, improve administration and security and enable developers to deliver the advanced customizations and integrations that customers desire.

Sage Group continues its commitment to developing, selling and maintaining Sage CRM as an additive to Sage Accounting products around the globe. Our rolling technical and commercial roadmap now stretches out beyond 2026.



Each release typically has a different focus within the overall roadmap.  The main focus of Sage CRM 2024 R1, is to continue to modernize the user experience and improve user satisfaction, while also enhancing security, increasing productivity, and laying the groundwork for future advancements.  This release has executed well on its priorities of delivering interface and user experience improvements and pain point elimination.

We've delivered in this release:

  • Customer experience and usability enhancements with over 40 cases resolved
  • Enhanced security for better data protection including improved control of external URLs in dashboard gadgets.
  • A new tagging system for easier record organization and retrieval.
  • Ability to highlight text in multiline text fields for improved readability and faster insights on key information.
  • Improved favorites management with ordering options.
  • A foundation for future advancements by adopting 64-bit Java for increased performance and scalability.
  • Prevention of deletion of key metadata Ensuring that screens and lists can't accidentally be removed.
  • Embedded chatbot for User Help Improving the access to help on using Sage CRM features.
  • Refreshed eLearning
  • Updated User Assistance
  • Supporting content on Sage City and Community

The development and QA teams have continued to grind down on the bugs. The Release Notes lists over 40 issues addressed in this release.  All these changes have been documented in the Help Center, which will be updated to include 2024 R1.

This is a significant release. We have created new marketing and training videos to help partners and customers get the best out of the system.


Note: This applies to Sage CRM stand-alone and when integrated with Sage accounting products. Sage 50, Sage 100, Sage 200, Sage 300, Sage X3 and Sage Intacct.
