Workflow Mail Merge to PDF

Sage CRM has a follow up action to the workflow action types that enables Mail Merge to PDF.

The set up for the action is very similar to the standard Merge that has been there since server side merge was introduced.

The merge uses the same templates and the merge to Word. You can use either HTML of doc templates and the PDF document that is created is saved within the document tab of the record in context when the merge was carried out.

It is not anticipated that there will be any development issues associated with this feature but where custom workflows make use of the Merge function you may need to consider changing the behaviour to create a PDF and you also may need to consider whether a customer site will be using Mail Merge to Word in future. Opportunity Workflow Changed

The Opportunity Workflow has changed to include new Cross-sell rule.

This has been implemented using a classic ASP page.

The code is completely visible and editable to developer needing to customize the workflow around their customers exact requirement.

The code is straight forward JavaScript and makes standard use of the Sage CRM API objects.
