[Solved] Keyword Search not available

Hi

The Keyword Search functionality is not available after installation of Sage CRM 7.1 SP2.3s.

Keyword Search is turned on in Administration->System->Keyword Search, but is not displaying in any of the entity Find Screens, or in the Selection List of the Find screens, as would be expected.

See screen shots attached. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Robert,

    Can you check "Physical root directory for mail merged documents" settings in

    Administration -> E-mail and Documents -> Documents & Reports Configuration?

    This path must be a valid one.

    By default, it should be C:\Program Files\Sage\CRM\[CRMDataname]\Library\.

    Then check if you see a folder named FullText.ix.

    There is a log file which can give you some lead in this folder.

    Then in C:\Program Files\Sage\CRM\Services\Logs folder, you must have a file called [date]CRMSearchIndex.log, check if index creation is recorded or not for your Sage CRM 7.1SP2.

    Please provide additional information regarding your environment (Operating System, Connection Type, Server...)

    If the drop down is missing then look in Administration -> Advanced Customisation -> System Menus -> Advanced Find

    and if the there is only Advanced Find create a new one called KeywordSearch with a Action of Other, System Act will be Keywordsearch and the bitmap will be using the keywordsearch.png

    Hi Yannick, thank you for your assistance.

    The problem seemed to be that after the CRM install, we did a restore from a different database, and of course the path: C:\Program Files\Sage\CRM\[CRMDataname]\Library\, had a different [CRMDataname]. Once I changed this to the correct name, Keyword Search was available and working.

    You are welcome Robert.

    I was guessing that you were upgrading Sage CRM and not updating.

    Try to give as much technical information as you can about your environemnt (Operating Sytems, Databases, Versions), then you won't mislead Chris ;-)

    Anyway, I am glad that your problem is resolved.

    Enjoy Sage CRM 7.1 SP2 and wait for the next release in a few weeks with a lot of new features.
