are the interactive dashboards working as this uses tomcat , so if the service is not running or you have a problem with interactive dashboards then you just get blank in the library items. You don't get the normal error as you do in the dashboard area in My CRM or Company (The Dashboard has experienced a problem, Please contact your System Administrator.)

You are correct - I have just click "Interactive Dashboard" and got a spinning dial followed by the error you mentioned. I'll check Tomcat, thanks.

I did restart Tomcat but I still have the problems.

I found this in the Tomcat logs - could it be a Java problem?

go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features and in there it will tell you the version of Java. It should Java(TM) 6 update 27 or a number higher. But it must be Java version 6 and not version 7. You can Un-install java and install the one from the install files sage_crm_7.1_sp2_full_install__uk\Sage\CRM\Utils\EN\JRE which will install version Java(TM) 6 update 21.

If you search the forum there is loads about problems with dashboards.

Uninstall version 7, you will probably have to re-boot the machine and then test. If the dashboards fail then un-install Java 6 and install again via the Sage CRM install files.

ok - now stumped. I uninstalled Java V7 and rebooted. Problem still there. So I then uninstall Java 6 and re-installed from the Sage install CD, rebooted and logged in again. Interactive dashboard still has the error and the Library Management screen has no content.

try running an IISRESET on the server via the command prompt

Is it possible that CRM 7.1 SP2 (or any of the components) has a problem running on Windows 2003 Server?

It should work fine on windows 2003 as it's supported.

are you testing on the server or on the network. Have you checked to make sure that the tomcat service is running after the re-start?

Check the port by running netstat.exe /ano >"C:\netstat.log" in a command prompt and check the PID in Task Manager for tomcat.

Could the firewall be blocking it.

Did the dashboards work in your previous version before the upgrade?

Chris, your hint about trying it on the local server gave us the answer. We had a firewall rule issue which was blocking some ports. The local internet explorer ran everything fine (Interactive Dashboards, etc.) but not over the network.

When CRM is being used on a hosted server or users are going to access it via the outside world I always update the CRM.Rewriter.rules file with the server name. This is stored wher you have installed Sage CRM on the server Sage\CRM\Services\IISUtils\CRMRewriter. Search and replace %{HTTP_HOST} with the server name.

RewriteRule ^/sdata/crmj/(.*)$ http://%{HTTP_HOST}:10009/crmj/$1?%{QUERY_STRING}&originalHostCRMRedirector=%{HTTP_HOST} [P]

becomes

RewriteRule ^/sdata/crmj/(.*)$ SERVERNAME:10009/.../$1 [P]

There are more entries in the file that will be updated but I just used this one line as an example.
