Yammer Component

Hi

We are using the test 7.2 image and have installed the Yammer component. It has been working, and yet I started up the image for the blue log in button not to show.

The component has been uninstalled and re-installed and it still doesn't appear through either IE (version 8) or Google Chrome.

Any thoughts?

    Hi Mark!

    Unfortunately, the Yammer component only supports IE9 and above, so it will not function as expected in IE8.

    Would I be able to get a bit more info about the issue that you're having? Is it the blue Yammer fly-out tab that you can't see? Or is it the "login with Yammer" button on the Yammer tab? Have you already authenticated your account?

    We have the same Problem ! On our Windows 8 with IE10, sagecrm 7.2 (with and without combatiblity mod). We dont see the login Button on MyCRM/Yammer - Page !

    We have an working Yammer-Account !

    What can we do !?

    Below are my thoughts/question about the Yammer Component. I think it's a Great start!

    I love that when in the context of the Company that it automatically adds the Topic/Hashtag #Sage CRM - Company Name. It would be great if it also did this for People and had a tab which would aggregate those yammers.

    When saving a note, I get the following: An error has occurred. Please contact your system administrator., Error Code: 500, Internal Server Error.

    If you want to save a note, you have to Yammer to the entire Company. You can't just send that yammer to a specific group. You should still have this ability.

    Replies to a topic are shown in the CRM and you can reply, but you don't have any idea if there are replies unless you click the plus button (+) on every yammer. It would be great if you could show that there were replies (without expanding every yammer.

    You can add your own topics from within the CRM, but I have not figured out how to add spaces (I don't think its possible without a dedicated topic box).

    Really pleased to see Yammer as a response to established and successful competitor products such as Salesforce/Chatter.

    I would much rather see integration of a yam to the communication entity rather than to a note. Sage CRM needs 1 communication history not 2 - so notes is not the right place to store a yam (communication)

    It's unclear whether one can integrate an existing Yammer account (with data in it) into Sage CRM. Presumably so, but it'd be good to get clarification on this.

    It would be valuable to understand how custom entities can work with Yammer. I hope this gets covered in due course.

    Same issue for me, setting up a demo system for next week and need Yammer working. I've got 7.2b so had to update .asp to use GetPage() as tab wasnt loading correctly.

    Anyway no login option on My CRM>>Yammer. Please advise.

    The save as note function just calls the save_as_note.asp within this is just sql script to create Note record. When I have it working on my test system I will set it up to create communication and comm_link records.

    I got our developer to look at the Yammer pages in the end as Sage weren't giving it any priority.

    If you want the fixed up pages send me an e-mail, I also have an SP which can be used to create a communication when you choose "save as note".

    IT DOESNT WORK !!! 7.2b and actual yammer component... IE 9. POOR SAGE SOFTWARE
