Case creation from a workflow

Hi,

From an opportunity workflow, we create a case. The problem is the newly created case does not have any workflow associated. How can we set a workflow to that case?

Thank you!

This is by design. Make sure that you have designed your Case workflow with a Transition rule attached to the 'start' state that will allow these newly created cases that are unattached to workflow to be added to a workflow. The default Case workflow should have an example 'Accept' rule that will show you how this can be done.

    Hi Jeff,

Can you check Case Workflow is activated or not? If not, kindly activate it and check the same. However we tried to create a case from opportunity and found that its working as expected. We are able to see the Workflow rules on the newly created case screen. We followed the below steps on the opportunity Workflow.

    1.     Created a global rule named New Case.

    2.     Called a workflow action Create Case from the options available under Follow-up-Actions.

Here we are assuming you tried the same steps at your end to create a new case from opportunity workflow action.

    Hope this helps!
