Best way to send SMS to 'people' via CRM

Hi all, what is the best way to sned SMS messages to 'people' in CRM ?

I've seen a lot on here based around sending SMS Messages to Users, but I need to send them to people really rather than users.

I've contacted a couple of different companies but their Add Ons are either no longer available or seem very bespoke rather then just standard Add Ons / Components

I've looked at Email to SMS, but we'd have to change the CRM emails to use plain text, which I dont think they will be happy about becasue they already with HTML emails in other areas of CRM

Thoughts please ?

    Hi,
    From your post, it seems that you want to send SMS to Person instead of Users. Can you please share the exact functionality which you want to implement? i.e. you want SMS to be sent via workflow or any other routine, so that we can suggest you the best possible way to implement the same. JFYI, we have implemented similar functionality for one of our client to send SMS through a custom routine.

    Hi, basically the client wants to be able to create a communication, which on Save sends an SMS to the selected Person. If we could then use that as part of a workflow that would be great. The purpose is to send appointment reminders. the client currently uses TextAnywhere as an SMS Gateway. So if this could be retained that would be great.

    It surprises me that there doesnt seem to be a standard component, we can simply buy and install
