Help please - how do I un-delete a company

I am new to Sage CRM and my co-worker has recently left, leaving myself and another admin in charge of our whole system!

One of our companies has disappeared. So have all the contacts which are linked to it.

However when I click onto the Work In Progress icon the projects are still in there, and so I can click on the hyperlink (for the project no) and it takes me into the time records screen. There is now a hyperlink to the company but when I click on it the following message appears in a red warning box:

"The record you requested has been deleted or you may not have security permissions to view it".

I have tried to search on here to see if anyone has had a similar problem but I can't find any answers. I'm hoping that the data still exists somewhere as there are ALOT of contacts attached to this company.

Thank you Kristi. When I search for the company it doesn't show up. Neither do any of the contacts. So I can't change any of the information?? I'm just going to the find icon and then looking at all the companies, and it's not there. Is there another way I can find it? Thanks.

Hi

Find your company in the Company table and update the comp_deleted from 1 to NULL.

Other entities linked to the Company are probably mark as deleted as well, you will need to set the xxx_deleted from 1 to NULL as well.

You need to set the following

open SQL enterprise manager

do a select * from company where comp_name like your company name which disappeared

note down the comp_companyid

update company set comp_deleted=NULL where comp_name like your company name which disappeared

likewise if the contacts were deleted

update person set pers_deleted=NULL where pers_primarycompanyid= the id that you noted

your company name which disappeared would now be available
