Outlook Plugin Issue

Has anyone seen this?

When trying to send an email out of CRM (7.2b) and clicking on the "Send using Outlook" button, we get an error message stating "Unable to open this file. Please check that the file exists." If we click OK on that message, and then click the "Send E-mail" button, the email is sent out using Outlook. If instead of clicking the "Send using Outlook" button first, there's no error message, and the email is sent from CRM natively, not Outlook.

What can I do to fix this so that the error message doesn't come up, and the email sends when first clicking on the "Send using Outlook" button?

Thanks,

Frank

    Hi Frank,

If you are using “Send Using Outlook” button, it does not need Outlook plugin first of all. There are couple things you can check.

    1. First of all is the outlook installed properly?
    2. Open outlook and CRM simultaneously and see whether you get the same error there too.
    3. Are you selecting any attachment while sending email? If yes, how are you attaching it? You must click on Browse button for selecting attachment. Copy pasting the attachment path leads to error.

    Dinesh -

Sorry, I thought I had replied yesterday, don't know what happened.

    1. Yes, Outlook is installed properly. Otherwise, it's working normally.

    2. I've done this. The error occurs whether or not both Outlook and CRM are open.

    3. No attachments. This happens with any email, even a plain, simple one.

    Thanks,

    Frank
