Self Service on Another Server Within Same Network

Hi,

I have read several articles and trawled through various Sage documentation on how to set up a self service site on a separate server but there is no instructions to be found.

I am hoping someone can throw some light on this.

It seems strangely odd to me that an external facing web portal would even be installed on the same server as an internally facing one (Sage CRM) to begin with. The security implications alone make it a no go option.

Basically I have Sage CRM 7.1g installed on one server with SQL Server and on another I have the same, however on the second machine I am pointing the self service database details in the registry to the first main server. These settings can be found at [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\eWare\SelfService]

The self service site renders in a browser just fine. Although whenever I try and do anything database related (like login) it does not do anything other than reload the page. No errors reported in the Sage logs which is not surprising at all. and no errors exist in the windows event log or the IIS logs.

Surely this must be achievable?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
