You can follow the steps given in our below blog links for removing/hiding the unwanted phone and email fields.

In order to rename the label name, please refer the below steps.

1. Go to Administration -> Customization -> Translations
2. In translation find the Caption code as “Business” and caption family as “Link_PersPhon”.
3. Under US and UK translations set the new name that you want to display and Click on Save button.

It is very important that you do not remove the 'Business' phone type. Change its translation as Dinesh suggests but do not remove it.

Renaming worked excellently! I would tend to agree with Jeff Richards on the deletion, however. Isn't there just a simple SQL that I can add to the view or box to make it not visible? It keeps the database intact, the interface clean and efficient for the users, and if needs be in the future it can easily be brought back. I was hoping it would be as easy as adding a line of code like the opportunity details box.

What's interesting is if I first rename the U.S. translation to like "Pager!!!!" it will show up like that and then just revert to the "Pager" after I put in the div tags so I think it's getting it from somewhere else.

That won't work, that'll hide 'type' check boxs not the phone numbers. Sorry.

So my only recourse is to delete those two translations (Home and Pager) in order to remove them from the phone box? If I recreate those translations at a later date using the exact family and type, would there be any issues in restoring them?
