Thanks for the replays I will take a look at the links. My main questions are now:

• How does the CRM to Exch Only sync (for appointments/meetings, tasks and contacts) identify conflicting/duplicate items; what action is taken: are conflicting/duplicate items overwritten/deleted/updated, or are duplicates created? (The systems administrator guide does not say what happens in this scenario, and the option to specify which system wins is disabled for a CRM to Exch Only sync.)

• Generally, how does the CRM sync engine identify a duplicate/conflicting item (appointments/meetings, tasks and contacts). I.e. which fields are used in checking for duplicate/conflicting items?
