Is it possible to create a screen that contains a list / grid (communications) and a preview window, a view similar to Outlook or any other email applications where you can select an email and preview before opening it?

At present users use the Communications list/grid for person or/and company
Click on each email to preview
Click continue to return to the list / grid
Select the next email

I would like to simplify this process as we have many instances where users are searching for historical content but are not sure of the wording which makes use of FIND difficult. Many of the searches are completed on behalf of other users so it is only when they see the email content they know if it is the right communication record
