Anyone else having massive Outlook-Plugin Problems since 7.3?

we've done an upgrade from Sage CRM 7.2 to 7.3 b1 at one of our clients (150+ Users).
They had different problems concerning the document drop and Classic Outlook Integration (Exchange Integration is no option because they have several Exchange Servers along the company around the world).

We made an troubleshooting guide and they were able to fix a couple of errors. 4 weeks later the same errors came back at the same users who become unrelaxed. Before (with 7.2) everything worked.

We already opened up a case in germany but they won't really help us since we haven't got screenshots/logfiles and so on because we have a general problems with the plugins.

Here are some of the particular errors:

  • Installation is not possible - because of many different aspects towards the client (Antivirus, Outlook-Versions, IE-Version, IE-Setup, Windows-Version, other Outlook-Plugins, older installed outlook-plugin data)
  • when Chrome is opened the Outlook Plugin makes problems (Chrome and Outlook opened at the same time).
  • 100% zoom factor in IE 10 makes problems with document drop.
  • Plugin crashes with unexpected event.
  • Emails with attachments cannot be filed / without it works - the library dir of course exists.
  • Plugin disappears suddenly - one has to manually activate outlook or restart outlook several times.
  • document drop asks if one wants to download a file.
  • mails with reading/sending confirmation are making problems.
  • Adding contacts from outlook to CRM shows an error - trying a second time works.
  • Language-problems (i.e. Windows 7 in spanish)
  • I think there are a lot more ...

All of these things are playing a role right now.

What makes that all additionally complicated -> you need admin-rights for handle those problems and reinstall the plugin. At 150+ Users you can image how much work that makes at the customers support team. When they finished the setup of all clients they can start from the beginning - I totally understand the customers feedback towards us regarding the quality of these plugins. Especially when the license-cost moved up and the quality moved down.

Can anyone give us advise what to do/try next. Is the 7.3 B1 plugin a bad one?
Should we do a downgrade? The customer really starts getting uncomfortable and waiting 3 weeks on support-feedback is no option anymore. Our customer has the opinion that Sage is doing Beta-tests at the customers.
