Do I need to reinstall my CRM when changing to HTTPS protocol?

Hi,

I originally installed my CRM without HTTPS option which works fine.

Now I need to change my CRM to HTTPS protocol.

One of the main questions I have is, do I have to reinstall my CRM with HTTPS option ticked?

What does the HTTPS option change in the CRM exactly?

Can I just skip the re-installation process and add HTTPS support in IIS?

Any information is very welcome. Thanks.

    Hi,

    To use https rather than http, you don't need to reinstall CRM as ticking the "use https" option will only amend the web address which can be done by manually amending the user shortcut.

    After amending this, or reinstalling CRM if you chose to do so, you would still need to configure the CRM site bindings and SSL authentication settings in IIS, for https, on your web server.
