CTI Plugin, Sage 7.2e and Windows 10

Hi,

We've been setting up CTI integration with our system. We're using the 3CX system and initial testing was very positive.

We have two machines in the office on Windows 7 and IE11 the rest are Windows 10 with IE11. The CTI integration works fine with the Windows 7 machines but we're getting constant crashes on the Windows 10 machines and the integration doesn't work.

We've set the machines up identically, checked all pop-up, activeX settings, run the TcmSetup /c <Telephoneyservername> cmd on each machine. I can confirm the Tapi driver is installed on each machines, we've gone over the setup very thoroughly

But it still only works on the Win7 machines.

Is CTI in Sage 7.2 supported on Windows 10?

    We've run further testing on Sage 7.2e and our Dev 7.3c system;

The additional testing has shown that the 7.2e and 7.3c CTI plugin, with Windows 7, IE11 and the 3CX Phone System works, we've been able to successfully dial out.

We've then setup a clean install of Windows 10, run through the entire process again but receive the following error on both the 7.2e and 7.3c systems.

Just to note this same number worked with the Windows 7 system. We've spoken with 3CX and they've informed us that there system is 100% Windows 10 compatible.

    Hi,

I don't have a working CTI system here in front of me so I'm going from memory. This is the age-old problem of checking if the CTI plugin is causing the issue, or the TSP. It might be worthwhile doing a quick check using Exceletel TeleScope (or a similar tool) to make sure that you can dial out using the TSP. If you can do that, then it's probably something wrong with the plugin. TeleScope also has the additional advantage of 100% confirming the device name.

    Thanks,

    Rob

    Hi,

We've tested using the 3CX Windows Tapi Driver with Windows Dialler and can successfully make a phone call on our Windows 10 test machine which previously failed when trying via Sage CRM 7.2e and 7.3 SP3.

It seems that there is a problem with the Sage CTI Plugin in Windows 10 which is preventing it from working.

is this something that's known about? Have we indeed found a bug?

    Thanks,

    Will
