Sage CRM 7.3 SP3.5 with web screens??

Hi,

I have a brand new install of Sage CRM - 7.3 SP3.5 integrated with Sage 300 2017 PU1. I have the web screens running on this server. Just wondering if the Order Entry web screen is in place for replacing the Sage 300 portal screen. I know before that button called the Sage 300 OE screen from the portal and you had to have the portal running for this to work but with the web screens, you cannot install both the portal and the web screens on the same machine. Sage had said that they were going to put the web screens in Sage CRM to replace the portal screen. Just wondering if that has been done.

When I click on <New Order > or <New Quote> I get a big error message.

Is that related to the Sage 300 Portal or the web screens?

    is this a single server setup or two server setup?, the redirector needs to be configured for the Sage 300 portal screens if this is linked to a separate Sage 300 Portal Server

    Nope. Single server. Only the database is on a different server. I want to know if/when the web screen for OE order and quote would be integrated to the Sage CRM as promised.

    I also want to find out about this, as I have been reading through the documentation for CRM 2017 and there is no mention of this problem in there either. I'm amazed that such a big feature is apprently being sidelined - unless I am missing something.

    Yes specially when we have sold the idea of using web screens to a customer who uses Sage CRM and the create order/quote option from CRM. Now they want the web screens and I cannot upgrade them if the create order/quote is not going to work in their Sage CRM.

    Can you explain more by what you mean? Do you mean the Sage CRM 2017 documentation (help.sagecrm.com) or integration specific documentation?

    I think what Calli is saying is: The current Sage CRM 7.3 has the function of "New Order" and "New Quote" that needs the Sage 300 Portal to work. It was announced that the new Sage CRM will have these functionalities re-written so that it would use the web screens instead. Is that done?

    Also we do not see the integration piece for Sage 300 with Sage CRM 2017 anywhere yet. In November 2016, we were told that would be done in 4-6 weeks but I still do not see an integration with Sage 300 2017 anywhere.

    Calli, first the error you are having should be related to the Sage 300 Portal screens installed on the single server and how they are configured. I always recommend to eliminate Sage CRM for a second and try to log into Sage 300's Portal directly. If you can not log into the Sage 300 Portal then that is what you have to get fixed first.

    From a feature and enhancement perspective the integration between Sage CRM and Sage 300 is always managed and updated by the Sage 300 Development Team. The Sage CRM Development Team develops and releases the core Sage CRM Product. I say this so that you know when you are looking to find new information about the integration between Sage 300 and Sage CRM you will need to look at the Sage 300 side of the family.

    As for the Sage 300c web screens, they are currently on the Sage 300 Road Map as a future update to the Sage CRM Integration. I do not have a specific time line for this launch originally Product Management was saying April 2017 launch but now I am hearing End of 2017, so I am saying Early 2018. And as always this is subject to change, based upon the demands placed on Product Management and the Development Teams.

    I am personally pushing very hard for the features you are asking about and as such I am keeping it high on my priority list. So, every time I speak to Product Management, Development, and Product Marketing I am reminding them about this enhancement.

    Firs off, the error is not from Calli but from me, Prabha :)

    I understand the Sage Portal error and how to fix it. You cannot have the web screens and the Sage 300 portal on the same server. My client who now wants to upgrade to Sage 300 2017 because they want the web screens cannot do now because they use Sage CRM to create OE quotes and orders which still use the Sage 300 Portal.

    I think that was the question from both Calli and myself. Now you are saying early 2018 for that integration and by then Sage 300 2018 (due August 2017) will be out. Client is on 2014 so I was hoping to do the upgrade to Sage 300 2017 and Sage CRM 2017.

    Now since they have payroll and need to be 2 versions back to get payroll tax tables, I WILL have to put them on 2017 with Sage Portal and then when you guys are ready with the Sage CRM 2017/Sage 300 integration with web screens, upgrade them again.
