Mailchimp Integration Dynamic Group in Sage CRM v2018 R3

SOLVED

Hi.

Does anyone know if a Dynamic group functionality in Sage CRM is now working with MailChimp whereas it automatically updates MailChimp if a new (contact) subscriber is added to the Dynamic group within Sage CRM?

Right now in Sage CRM v2018R3, we are always having to click on the Send to MailChimp to update our segment (list) in MailChimp.

I'm hoping this was fixed in Sage CRM v2019.

Let me know.

Thanks,

Stephan

By design when you send a group from Sage CRM to Mailchimp a static segment is created.  The segment is clearly identified with a timestamp.  If data in the dynamic group within Sage CRM changes then no action is automatically carried out ins Mailchimp.  For example if your Sage CRM Dynamic group includes companies that have an 'Active' status and they change to 'Inactive' then should they be automatically unsubscribed from your Mailchimp Audience?

    OK/
Is there a so-called workaround to have the above working through an SQL Job?: Each hour push my Dynamic Group and update/create a new date stamp in MailChimp? As opposed to getting the user to click on Send to MailcChimp each time they create a new campaign?

    Let me know.

It's certainly possible, we have a customer sending out a weekly MailChimp newsletter to over 90,000 members from a dynamic group. The CRM group is automatically sent to MailChimp on a Thursday evening via task scheduler that in turn runs a script (So can be set to run as frequent as you wish)

You will need to construct the CRM URL with Act=2204, Key25 and Key62 from the Group.

This will still generate a new timestamped static segment in the MailChimp audience.
