I have problem installing sage CRM on my laptop. After installation, this message pop up.
Then my colleague help me to configure the url rewriter and other thing and reinstall the application. the message box is gone but the web page still have error 404 not found.
the installation folder exist but there is no CRM and self-service web app created in IIS. I can confirm that my localhost working perfectly because all my other web is working fine.
OK, this isn't a supported set up as it should be installed in Windows Server 2016 or Windows Server 2019. So would just looking at getting a Virtual Machine (either VMWare or Hyper-V) if you want something local.
But I think the issue will be down to IIS, I never know the true settings to use, but I always tick the following in Server Manager for IIS and all works OK for me.
Also check the user that has access to the CRM app pool also has access to the CRM directories
