Unable to send report to Excel. CRM 2021 R1

Working with an install of CRM 2021 R1, when users attempt to export to Excel (XLSX), the system seems to just spin.  In most installs, it will spin for a bit and then the file link will appear in the lower left-hand corner.  However, with this install, it seems to be on an endless spin and the file never generates.

Has anyone else experienced this and help point me in the right direction?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

    It seems that we ran into this once and found that it was a web browser setting.   Our Sage CRM site had to be added to the Allow list for Pop-ups and Redirects.  We are on version 2019 R1, but if it is a browser setting, the CRM version may not matter.  

    Within Microsoft Edge navigate to the following screen and allow your CRM site. 

    Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Site permissions > Pop-ups and redirects > Allow list

    For Google Chrome

    Settings > Privacy and security > Site Settings > Content heading > Pop-ups and redirects > Allowed to send pop-ups and use redirects > Add button

    Initially, that was preventing the reports from running.  We resolved the popup blocker, however, we still cannot get the excel reports to generate..the system just seems to spin.
