Hi, you can achieve this using the client side API.

Create (or add to an existing) custom javascript file the following:

crm.ready(function(){

  crm.infoMessage(CurrentUser.user_displayname);

});

There used to be a component in the downloads area which made the current users name appear on the tab of the browser. It was a good view versions ago, (I think about v7.3) but it might still work. 

That's a neat idea, in fact I've just done it on my dev system because I often have several users logged in simultaneously.

Create a .js file in <CRM>\WWWRoot\js\custom containing:

$(function(){
document.title+=CurrentUser.user_logon;
})

Run IISRESET or recycle the CRM app pool.

The browser tabs then display the user's logon appended to the regular page title:
