Tomcat Issues 2022 R2 upgrade

Hi

I have done an upgrade for Sage CRM 2022 R2 and I have issues with Tomcat.  The error is as follows:

06-Apr-2023 09:53:28.875 SEVERE [main] org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.deployWAR Error deploying web application archive [C:\Program Files (x86)\Sage\CRM\CRM\tomcat\webapps\crmj.war] java.lang.IllegalStateException: Error starting child

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Sarah:  I don't recognize this specific error.  However, I have had many issues upgrading to CRM 2022 R2.

    The only thing that seems to work for me is that if the client is on 2019, 2020 or 2021, I MUST first upgrade to CRM 2022 R1.  The documentation indicates that you can go from any of these to CRM 2022 R2.  However, I have had 100% failure in doing so.

    If possible, I would roll back the server and upgrade to CRM 2022 R1 first.  If everything looks good, then upgrade to CRM 2022 R2.  In my experience, this is what works.

    Also, there was a recent article done by user SageCRM about listening ports that you may want to review and apply before trying to roll back as it could be a listening port issue.  Unfortunately, I don't recongnize that error.
