What's with the Sage CRM 2023 R1 Patch on the KB

The KB lists two items available for download 2023 R1, the Full Install and a patch, both Published on 4/19/23.

1) under LATEST PRODUCT: Download Sage CRM 2023 R1 Full Install for Standalone and Sage 300; Solution ID: 119259,

2) under LATEST UPDATE: Download Sage CRM 2023 R1 Patch for Standalone and Sage 300; Solution ID: 119260

My questions are with #2, the Patch. I don't see any Announcements for this, nor do I find anything relating to it when I search Sage City - or Google even - other than a patch related to Sage 100. Nor are there any Release Notes for it. So can anyone tell me what it's for?

Also, in my test environment, I've downloaded and installed the Patch release. The login splash screen still just shows Sage CRM 2023 R1 as the version number, as does My CRM --> Preferences --> About CRM. The value for the Version parameter in Custom_SysParams still shows 2023R1. So it sure looks like nothing's changed.

Patch release notes are attached - think the main reason was to do with the Chrome Update issue

Thanks for replying, John, this was helpful. For what it's worth, I went back and checked the KB. The Release Notes there, as of today, still link to the Release Notes for the main 2023 R1 release, not for the patch. I'm not sure if you're a Sage employee or a partner like myself, but someone at Sage should fix this.

Another (minor) issue is that the Steps to Apply This Patch section (in the PDF you sent) says to run the provided SageCRM2023R1.1.exe file, however the actual filename, when you click the link in the KB, is named SageCRM2023R1.exe. Perhaps someone can rename the download file to match the Release Notes. Just a thought.
