crm outlook plug in

I am curious if anyone else has an issue with the CRM outlook plug in. Every time there is a CRM update, this feature is turned off/deleted.  I usually can reinstall it but with the latest CRM update I am not able to.  I have tried both the lite and standard versions of the plugin.  In contacting the CRM team, they told us we have the wrong office program as the plug in is not supported fro MS office home and business. We have not changed our MS office program and the plug in worked until the recent update they performed.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for your comments.  We are using Sage CRM 2022 R1 and Microsoft office home and business 2016, I am not involved with decisions at my company on when to upgrade, so not sure when we might upgrade to CRM 2022 R2.  We just had an upgrade installed in late May or early June this year.  Prior to this upgrade the plug in worked without any issue.  It is very common for there to be issues with the plugin with every upgrade.  CRM support has usaully been able to help but this time has told us that the plug in doesn't work with office home and business and we needed to install business or enterprise outlook.  We have been running this office version for a couple years.

    I am sorry but I have been out of the office for the last week and a bit.  I think part of the problem is that the version of Outlook you are using Microsoft Outlook 2016 (Home and Business) is out of mainstream support.   (I know that as of Sage CRM 2021 R1 we said we supported Outlook 2016 - Sage CRM Supported Software and Mobile Features)

    Microsoft products governed by the Fixed Policy will end support in 2025. Products moving to Extended Support in 2025 include those that were previously in Mainstream Support. During Extended Support, Microsoft continues to provide security and reliability updates, and bug fixes, but non-security updates are not provided without a paid support agreement.

    Thanks again for your comment.  My frustration is that any time there is an upgrade in CRM, something stops working. In this case the issue was easily resolved on my end.
