Sage CRM and Sage 200 C Upgrade path

We have a customer running Sage 200c 2019 (Spring) looking to upgrade to a later supported version of Sage.  Although this is relatively straightforward the customer is also running Sage CRM 2018 R3.  The 2 products have been synchronized in the past as part of the upgrade process 3 years ago although the integration between them is currently disabled.

If their Sage 200c is upgraded to say a 2022 or 2023 version do you know if their current version of Sage CRM will still work?

Or, will they have to upgrade from Sage CRM 2018 R3, and if so is there any details on an upgrade path for Sage CRM 2018 R3 ?

    Hi Eamonn

The key point here is that the integration never gets enabled again.

With the sync off CRM still functions, they will only be able to upgrade to CRM v2020 R1.1. which you can go straight to 2020 and then patch it.

IF they want to go further you have to tell Sage they want to 'migrate' to Standalone CRM (even though they aren't migrating to Qnect) there is a SQL script with comes with Qnect which is handy for ripping out the Sage 200 Integration bits, but from that point it is then viewed as standalone CRM. Any new licences from Sage will be without the 'freebie' licence that comes with Sage 200 CRM though.
