Exchange Synch Error - Read timed out

we seem to be getting an intermittent issue with the exchange synch, over the last few of months the synch stops and we this error in the logs:

java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

ive tried various things and what seemed to fix the issue last time was to increase the connectionTimeout setting in the server.xml file but the issue has happened again today and ive tried to increase this setting further but still getting the same issue

have spoken with support who have said they havent seen this error before so posting here to if anyone here has seen this before?

we are on version 2022 R2.1 and exchange type is Exchange Online (office 365)

I would go back to support and ask them about issue CRMS-1049 as in the CRM 2023 R1 release notes it is listed for Exchange Integration with the description of "...The synchronisation of appointments between Sage CRM and Exchange Online (Office 365) permanently failed..." the issue is reported as fixed.

It might be something else entirely, but worth asking them if the original issue was similar to what you are experiencing
