CRM Rebuild Keyword Index - Indexer Service continuously Restarts

Customer is experiencing issues with  Keyword indexer not completing as service keeps restarting and creating new files continuously.

I've been able to isolate the issue to the Comm_Email field. It could be either the size for the Field  due to Embedded Images or Embedded Images themselves. I believe it the Size of the field, but don't know the size limitation in order to change the View to truncate the Comm_Email

    Comm_email is a nVarChar(MAX) field, these types of fields can hold a vast amount of space (about 1 billion characters). 

    First things first, have you tried stopping the service and deleting the FullText folder from the library, then restarting the service (which will recreate the folder and then reindex everything). As a chance to index everything from scratch in case there was some problem here

    Secondly you can create a new view purely for Keyword Search so you could create a view without the Comm_Email in it, or one that is truncated just for the view.
