Can I access any CRM Inquiries without a Sage 100 ERP workstation install?

Software Specs:

Sage 100 ERP 2014

Sage CRM (for Sage 100 ERP 2014) v7.3

Problem/Question:

I've been given a couple different stories regarding what licensing is needed when accessing certain parts of CRM.

Ultimately, I'm trying to figure out a way to access, and successfully run, the Report links that are located in the "Inquries" tab of a specific customer, without installing a Sage workstation.

Initially I was told that this was possible and it was a huge selling point because CRM licenses are much cheaper than Sage 100 licences and the users that would need to access CRM have no reason for working in Sage.

Unfortunately, now I'm being told otherwise.  Needless to say, it's a little frustrating.  Is there a way to access this part of CRM without installing a Sage workstation?

    The Inquiries tab in CRM (added by Sage 100 Integration with CRM), consists primarily of Business Insights Views.

    What error message are you encountering when selecting those links with no Sage 100 workstation installed?

    Apologies but I'm not as familiar with Business Insights as I'd like to be. I know it can be accessed from a sage workstation and that it provides data that can filtered and analyzed but that's about it. Am I incorrect in assuming that your first sentence is hinting that Business Insights Views can run from CRM without a Sage installation?

    Unfortunately I don't have the error on hand at the moment. I'll have to obtain it and get back to you. While I'm doing so, do you know of any other way for a CRM user to obtain similar information provided on this tab without a Sage install?

    I will confirm it but my understanding those Inquiries link do require a Sage 100 workstation install in order to access from those links in CRM.

    It is possible for the same data to be made available to CRM via modified dashboards, other CRM Customizations, or for Business Insights reports to be created with some of the same data in Sage 100 and published to a web site to be viewed outside CRM (without a Sage 100 workstation installed locally).

    It is also possible that a terminal server can be made available with a Sage 100 Workstation install to allow external users to get access to all the Sage 100 data without their own local workstation install.

    Well, my inquiry in to the error really wasn't helpful. I'm really interested in your comment about being able to access this content through the dashboard though. You're certain that a workstation install isn't necessary to achieve this? Would you be able to provide an example of how to accomplish this?

    You may want to check with your Sage Partner or CRM Consultant regarding details, while I have seen implementations where this has been done I don't have any details that I could pass along.
    There are some articles posted in the CRM Community Partner's section such as "Sage CRM 7.2: Understanding SData & how the GCRM Contract is used in Sage ERP Integrations".
