Can I easily change the date on an updated invoice?

SOLVED

I discovered that there is an invoice from January that was dated 2016 instead of 2017. Does this mess up anything since it wasn't updated until 2017? Is there any way to fix the date on it without making a bigger mess elsewhere? It has already been paid.

The wrong date of an invoice can mess up the A/R aging report for a period if you ask it to select by Invoice Date rather than transaction posting date.

The wrong date of an invoice can mess up the A/P aging report for a period any time (it always uses the invoice date). The A/P trial balance report will be OK since it uses the transaction posting date.

If you aren't trying to print retroactive reports, I agree with "Let it be". If need be, print the reports out and make notations to explain.

Yes, I saw that the transaction posting date was correct, and I usually remember to put in the correct month for transactions when we're trying to finish up the previous month's business. I couldn't figure out how to track it down in DFDM (maybe you can't) and I try to limit my "messing about" in there, anyway. I'm going to leave it alone, especially since it's paid and done.
