REST API web service

SUGGESTED

I've seen some tools mentioned: Web Services (eBM) and sData; would these tools allow to retrieve information (i.e. items) from sage100Advanced and export it and also importing to sage; is BOI appropriate for this? and do I need to be a partner to use any of these?

BOI is a great built in option to interface to Sage from other applications if you are local to the server. There are a handful of other 3rd party options related to getting data in and out from Sage. While it isn't a REST API you have In-Synch that will synchronize the data between two systems. CIMCloud has an option that Syncs data and has an API with their Data Hub and API Interface. Then you have SDE that provides a JSON and XML API for Sage 100. These are just a couple of them. Each has their positives and negatives. This is just so you know there are options, even though they are not built in by Sage and have an additional cost.
