How do I stop a script from triggering during the Sales Journal update on the Sales Order header pre-write?

Condition the script logic on the oSession object's property Updating. If oSession.Updating = 1 then the script is being executed during an update.

I think it's better to check for = 0 or <> 0. The value isn't necessarily 1 during an update:
